Saxophonist Erik Bogaerts (Banjax, Mephiti), guitarist Benjamin Sauzereau (Les Chroniques De L'Inutile) and drummer Jens Bouttery (Jens Maurits Orchestra) form the band 'Llop'. This Belgian based trio play mostly improvised song-like music, often inspired by traditional music (Jazz). Jens plays drums and creates and manipulates music by recording Benjamin and Erik live and then using those sounds through different electronic outputs to give the resulting whole an unpredictability. Llop like to challenge themselves with the musically unexpected.

The album 'Lampke' (el NEGOCITO Records 2015) was the start of a musical process that Llop will took further on a short Scandinavian tour in July 2015. Llop played concerts in Denmark and Sweden and worked "in residence" for one week in Harlösa, where they made a new recording in an ancient church with bassist Brice Soniano.

Saxofonist Erik Bogaerts (Banjax, Mephiti), gitarist Benjamin Sauzereau (Les Chroniques De L'Inutile) en drummer Jens Bouttery (Jens Maurits Orchestra) vormen de band 'Llop'. Dit trio gevestigd in België speelt meestal geïmproviseerde liedachtige muziek, vaak geïnspireerd op traditionele muziek (Jazz). Jens speelt drums en creëert en manipuleert muziek door het opnemen van Benjamin en Erik live en vervolgens die geluiden door middel van verschillende elektronische uitgangen te verwerken om zo te komen tot een onvoorspelbaar geheel. Llop wil zichzelf zo muzikaal uitdagen.

Het album 'Lampke' (el NEGOCITO Records 2015) was het begin van een muzikaal proces dat Llop verderzette in juli 2015. Llop toerde toen in Denemarken en Zweden en werkte een week in residentie te Harlösa waar ze een nieuwe opname maakten in een oude kerk met bassist Brice Soniano.

This is a tremendous album. I'm a big fan of all of the work of Vicente and Dos Rios, but what pushes this album to an even higher level is the percussion. But all of the musicians are terrific. arbitify
